Incumbent goalkeeper expected to enjoy a strong senior campaign... a field general who understands the game tactically and will provide confidence for the USF backline... strong shot blocking ability. 2007 SEASON: Assumed duties as the starting keeper... posted five victories for the Dons, three coming during West Coast Conference play... posted first USF shutout in a scoreless deadlock at San Diego (10/21)... recorded at least five saves in six contests, including a career-high eight against Portland (10/5)... ranked third among league-leaders in saves (4.12)... finished with a total of 66 saves in 16 starts. 2006 SEASON: Playing behind all-WCC goalkeeper Geremy Uhl, appeared in just one contest, a 2-1 overtime loss at Gonzaga.... made six saves against the Bulldogs. PRIOR TO SAN FRANCISCO: Came to USF after redshirt season at fellow Far West Region power UCLA... three-year letterman under coach Roger Castle at Mission Viejo HS... two-year team captain... earned league MVP honors as a senior and also won the Diablo of the Year award... first-team all-league selection as a junior and second-team all-league as a sophomore... received the team MVP award his sophomore and junior years... lettered two years in track and field under coach Mike Hoffman and competed in the long jump... played club soccer for the Mission Viejo Pateadores, who won the Nomads Tournament in 2003 and reached the semifinals of the National Cup in 2004... also a member of the ODP State and Region IV Team. PERSONAL: Born February of 1986 in Trabuco Canyon, Calif... majoring in Sociology. VISSER ON CONNER: "Eric is a very talented, technically very sound goalkeeper.
