(San Francisco) - USF head men's basketball coach Rex Walters will appear on the After the Game show on ABC 7 (KGO) Sunday, June 8 immediately following Game Two of the NBA Finals between the Boston Celtics and the Los Angeles Lakers. The tip-off for game two is set for 6:00 PM (PT), live from the Boston Garden. Weekend anchor and former ESPN Sportscenter anchor Larry Beil will co-host the After the Game show with NBA Hall-of-Famer and Golden State Warrior legend Nate Thurmond. Coach Walters has ties with many players competing in the NBA Finals. Walters competed against Boston's Ray Allen, Sam Cassell, Kevin Garnett, James Posey and LA's Kobe Bryant, Derek Fisher, Ira Newble and Lamar Odom during his seven-year NBA career. Walters was a teammate of current Celtic P.J. Brown with the Nets and the Heat. Walters also played in summer pickup games with Kansas Jayhawk alums Paul Pierce and Scott Pollard.
