San Francisco's Ryan Lipkin Named to USA Baseball National Team

USA Baseball announced Tuesday its 2008 National (Collegiate) Team, including the University of San Francisco's sophomore catcher Ryan Lipkin (Vacaville, CA). Dons head coach Nino Giarratano is also an assistant coach on the team that will head to The Netherlands and the Czech Republic this summer.

USF Hall of Famer Con Dempsey to be Inducted into San Mateo County Sports Hall of Fame

On Thursday, June 19, the San Mateo County Sports Hall of Fame will induct USF Hall-of-Famer Con Dempsey in a special ceremony held at the San Mateo Elks Lodge. Dempsey, who passed away in August of 2006, was an iconic figure in Bay Area baseball. [+]
