2007 SEASON: Had solid rookie campaign, pitching in 16 games and collecting a 1.50 ERA in 18 IP... pitched a scoreless inning in collegiate debut versus San Jose State (2/6/07)... threw 1.1 innings of shutout ball against Baylor (3/9/07)... worked an inning of relief, allowing one hit and no runs, versus Southern Utah (3/22/07)... made the start, pitching 2.0 innings and allowing one run, in 17-2 USF win over Nevada (4/17/07)... worked scoreless ninth in USF's 8-0 win at Portland (4/22/07). PREP CAREER: Four-year letter-winner at Santa Teresa High School... named BVAL Freshman, Sophomore, and Junior of the Year... earned BVAL First Team recognition as a senior, finishing 9-2 with a 0.61 ERA, and 82 strikeouts in 69 innings... compiled more than 30 career high school victories... named team MVP as a freshman and junior.
